What is driving Germany's growth in the age of AI?

Karl-Heinz Land has more than four decades of experience in the technology industry. His career began in the mid-1980s as one of Oracle’s early employees in Germany. In the years that followed, he worked internationally and lived, among other places, in the USA, where he held leadership positions at companies such as BusinessObjects (SAP) and MicroStrategy, and played a key role in shaping the development of data-driven business models.
In 2014, he founded the consultancy neuland with a focus on digital transformation; in 2020 this was followed by the investment company neuland ventures, and in 2023 by the AI platform neuland.ai – a legally compliant platform developed in Europe that enables companies to integrate artificial intelligence in a practical and responsible way.
As an entrepreneur, author of numerous books – including Earth 5.0 – and sought-after keynote speaker, he develops visions of an interconnected, sustainable and technologically shaped society of the future, and advocates for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in Europe.
In 2006, he was recognised as a “Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum in Davos and by Time Magazine.
Born in 1962, he is married to the gallerist Priska Pasquer and is the father of four children as well as the grandfather of several grandchildren.
