PRESS RELEASE
Art in the Era of Artificial Intelligence – Karl-Heinz Land of neuland.ai joins discussion at the Olaf Gulbransson Museum
Tegernsee, 22 April 2026 – How is Artificial Intelligence changing the art world? What opportunities and challenges are emerging from the fusion of technology and creativity? These and other questions are at the heart of the event "Art in the Era of Artificial Intelligence", taking place on 24 April 2026 at 18:30 at the Olaf Gulbransson Museum in Tegernsee. Karl-Heinz Land, CEO and founder of the AI company neuland.ai, will take part in a high-profile panel discussion, bringing the perspective of one of Germany's leading AI companies to the debate.
Alongside Karl-Heinz Land, the panel will include Anton Biebl, Director of the Bavarian State Painting Collections, Prof. Dr Wolfgang Heckl, former Director General of the Deutsches Museum in Munich, and media artist Ornella Fieres. The discussion will be moderated by Michael Beck, Chairman of the board of the Olaf Gulbransson Gesellschaft e.V. Tegernsee. Together, the participants will explore how AI can be used as a tool in art and the consequences this has for the creative process and the role of humans.
In art, Artificial Intelligence is not an independent actor but a tool. It can speed up processes and generate variations, but meaning is only created through human decision-making. At the same time, AI in art raises important questions regarding copyright, creativity and the role of humans in the creative process. "AI is not a replacement for artists, but a tool that makes it possible to open up completely new creative horizons," Karl-Heinz Land explains. He sees great opportunities in this technological development, but also an obligation to handle AI responsibly. "Art and AI can achieve great things together, but we must keep the dialogue between human and machine at the center."
For Karl-Heinz Land, this discussion aligns with a vision already expressed in the company's own art collection and the dialogue between art and technology. Together with his wife, the gallery owner Priska Pasquer, he established the Denkraum (thinking space) for Art and AI in Cologne. This space serves as a platform for interdisciplinary encounters and promotes dialogue between art and Artificial Intelligence. By combining innovation and creativity, both aim to shape the interface of these two worlds and provide new impulses for the future of art.
neuland.ai is one of the leading German companies for AI solutions "Made in Germany". With the secure and scalable neuland.ai HUB platform, the company demonstrates how technology can be used to strengthen the economy and society sustainably while assuming ethical responsibility. The connection between creativity and AI is also a key theme for neuland.ai, as recently highlighted by the opening of its own art collection and various dialogue events on the future of AI and art.
The event at the Olaf Gulbransson Museum offers space for in-depth debate on the role of AI in art and an outlook on how artists, AI developers and institutions can inspire each other in an increasingly technologised world.
