Fleet Knowledge Agent

The only thing standardised is the number on the display. Every brand reads it differently, and the lorry sits idle all the while.

Searches manufacturer manuals and repair history, then delivers an initial assessment and a workshop recommendation.

Two and a half hours pass before a fault code becomes a workshop appointment.

The driver phones in the code from the hard shoulder. Dispatch looks for the manufacturer's manual, which depending on the brand is a PDF, a portal or a paper binder, and then calls up the repair history in the workshop system. Only then is it clear whether a nearby authorised workshop can take the job or a replacement vehicle has to go out.

5brands in the fleetEach brand brings its own documentation and its own fault numbering.

3xthe same questionDispatch, workshop control and the driver each look up the same thing in turn.

Downtime shrinks by 50% because the workshop appointment is fixed the same morning rather than after a call back to the manufacturer.

The 50% reduction in downtime is this agent's headline figure. The two and a half hours to classify a fault code reflect a typical sequence in a mixed fleet and are not a measured value.

Three steps through the process.

The agent interprets the fault code and the repair history; workshop control authorises the repair.

Match the fault code to the manufacturer documentation

The agent looks up the reported code in the documentation of the brand concerned and cites the reference. If another brand lists the same fault under a different number, it names both.

Vehicle MB-LK-2274, code SPN 3364, manual section 7.4.2

Analyse the vehicle's repair history

The agent reads this vehicle's workshop orders and searches them for the same component area. It highlights repeat faults.

4 orders on the exhaust system since 2024, the last on 11 March

Hand the initial assessment to workshop control

The agent compiles the meaning of the code, the history and the nearest suitable workshop. Workshop control decides on the appointment and the replacement vehicle.

What the agent does not do.

It does not place the repair order.

It hands over the initial assessment and workshop suggestion. Workshop control decides the appointment, the order and the replacement vehicle.

It does not judge whether the vehicle may continue its journey.

It reports what the manual and history say about this code. The workshop gives clearance to drive on.

A repair with no record in the workshop system is missing from the history.

If the exhaust system was fixed en route by an independent workshop, that job does not appear in its analysis. Fleet management adds it afterwards.

The questions that come up before the first meeting.

How quickly is the Fleet Knowledge Agent ready to use?

A pilot typically runs on your own data within 4 to 6 weeks. The agent connects to your existing systems rather than running as a separate, parallel environment.

Where is the data processed?

EU cloud or private cloud. Processing is GDPR-compliant and models are never trained on your data. Details in the Trust Center.

Where does the figure “50% shorter downtime” come from?

It is based on experience from comparable projects and process benchmarks, not a commitment. We work out the realistic effect for your organisation during the assessment before the pilot.
