Climate Adaptation Enquiry Agent

Strategy, measures catalogue and three map layers sit apart. Every enquiry overlays them all over again.

Turns strategy, measures catalogue and maps into a project-specific response.

The strategy is adopted. The response is still done by hand.

A preliminary building enquiry names a parcel and a use. Before that turns into a reliable response, the specialist has to open the GIS, the measures catalogue and the strategy and reconcile the different versions herself.

1project enquiry on a parcelA preliminary building enquiry names parcel 412/7 and the planned residential development.
3heat, heavy rain and sealing mapsThe three layers sit apart in the GIS, each with its own survey date.
2measure sheets from the strategyM-17 De-sealing and M-23 Green roofs apply to this project.
1note for the planning commentThe heat map is older than the strategy, a point that has to go into the planning comment.

Three map layers, two measure sheets and a note on the data status come together in one response, 50% faster than opening GIS, strategy and catalogue one after the other.

The 50% faster response time is this agent's headline figure. The four lines of the chain describe a typical project-specific enquiry and are not measured values.

Three steps through the process.

The agent compiles which measure sheets and map layers a project touches; only the building authority can establish whether it can be approved.

Apply the strategy to the project

The agent reads the climate adaptation strategy and the measures catalogue from the DMS. It pulls out the sections that match the stated use.

Klimaanpassungsstrategie_2024_Fassung3.pdf, sections 4.2 to 4.6

Match the measures

The agent compares location and use with the measure sheets. It names the sheets that apply to this project.

Measure sheets M-17 De-sealing and M-23 Green roofs

Bring in the map data

The agent retrieves the layers for the parcel from the GIS. For each layer it states the survey date.

What the agent does not do.

It does not decide whether a project is permissible.

The response names the affected measures and map layers. The planning law assessment stays with the building authority.

It does not weigh whether a measure is proportionate.

It names M-17 and M-23 as affected and adds the survey date to each map layer. Whether a green roof is reasonable at this location is for the specialist to judge.

It does not know what a site visit to the parcel would reveal.

It works with the three map layers for parcel 412/7 and with the measure sheets. Whether the site has since been de-sealed, overgrown or built on is something only the specialist will see on site.

The questions that come up before the first meeting.

How quickly is the Climate Adaptation Enquiry Agent ready to use?

A pilot typically runs on your own data within 4 to 6 weeks. The agent connects to your existing systems rather than running as a separate, parallel environment.

Where is the data processed?

EU cloud, private cloud or on-premises. Processing is GDPR-compliant and models are never trained on your data. Details in the Trust Center.

Where does the figure “50% faster responses” come from?

It is based on experience from comparable projects and process benchmarks, not a commitment. We work out the realistic effect for your organisation during the assessment before the pilot.
